Omega

Item No. 9971

Today's offering showcases this classic retro c. 1977 Omega Seamaster in gorgeous restored condition. Our photos couldn't begin to do it justice.

It is an uncommon later model vintage Seamaster with an uncommon original bracelet style.

Built at a time when the quartz revolution was taking hold and Omega was cutting costs, this watch with automatic Cal. 1012 movement with quick-setting date carried on the mechanical tradition of the Seamaster. It is the finer higher jeweled version of the 101x series, with twenty-three jewels, six more than in the caliber 1010.

The case, with its sharp retro design, presents as gorgeous mint with perfect facets on the sides. It measures 35.5mm in diameter, about the size of a Rolex Datejust.

It has a royal blue "technical" dial with 1/5 markings that served the precision timing needs of men in technical, sporting, and racing fields. It has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.

It has all of its original parts down to even the original waterproofing seal. It has just finished a true expertly done restoration - it presents in gorgeous restored condition. It presents as a 9.7 out of 10.

Its bracelet shows only mild stretch, and its finish presents as mint.

Note that the end-pieces on the bracelet have been re-installed since the watch was photographed.

As part of the restoration the fine caliber 1012 movement has been freshly expertly overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. It is running extremely strong and true, keeping time on par with a brand new Omega in our testing recording position.

For the finishing touch we have meticulously detailed making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
