Today's offering showcases this classic and meticulously restored c. 1977 Omega Seamaster. Our photos couldn't do it justice.
It is a later model vintage Seamaster. Built at a time when the quartz revolution was taking hold and Omega was cutting costs, this watch with automatic Cal. 1012 movement with quick-setting date carried on the mechanical tradition of the Seamaster. It is the finer higher jeweled version of the 101x series, with twenty-three jewels, six more than in the caliber 1010.
It measures 34.5mm in diameter, in between the size of the Rolex Date and the Rolex Datejust.
It has all of its original parts down to even its original waterproofing seal! It has just finished a true expertly done restoration and presents in gorgeous restored condition. It presents as a 9.7 our of 10.
Its case, with its timeless design, presents as mint with fairly mild aging hidden inside the engine bay as is common with these.
Its strong black dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
As part of the restoration, the fine caliber 1012 movement has been freshly expertly overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. It is running extremely strong and true, keeping time on par with a new Omega in our testing recording position.
For the finishing touch, it has been equipped with a new calfskin leather strap with aftermarket Omega style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
