Today's offering showcases this handsome Rolex Oysterdate Precision in superior original condition.
The Oysterdate Precision have become desirable non-sport vintage Rolex watches because their understated and classic design contrast the "busier" look of some of the modern Rolex watches. It's a watch that is at home being worn everyday or only for special occasions. Produced from the early 1950's into the 1980's, it was a strong commercial success for Rolex, winning a large following.
It has its original very classic silver dial with gold baton markers and hands. The original dial has previously had Mickey and Minnie Mouse perfectly custom hand painted. The dial is mint. The gold accents give the watch a dressier look than an all-steel Rolex and Mickey and Minnie give it a distinctive look.
It is Rolex down to the original hands. This is a mint example of an original Oysterdate.
The case presents as very close to mint with full lugs. And its handwound Rolex movement is clean and running very true.
It has been fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing any overly worn components, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $445 value).
A different strap can be installed if the buyer prefers, and we also have a period correct original Rolex bracelet in stock that can be purchased to add.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
A very pleasing example of a classic Oysterdate.
