1985 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date Ref. 15505 Mens Quick-Setting Watch - Gold Shell & Stainless Steel

Item No. 8233SH

Possessing understated elegance and clean lines this vintage Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date watch showcases a truly classic style.

As precise as it is classic, this watch is powered by the well-regarded caliber 3035 movement, one of the mechanisms that powered Submariner, Explorer, and GMT models.

Featuring a classic gold shell case and champagne dial it possesses a very luxurious style - it has the look of a solid gold Rolex for a fraction of the cost.

Its so-called "Tropical or Hypoallergenic" case with gold shell top with original stainless steel back made it more rugged and durable, especially when worn in warm or wet climates.

We were fortunate to acquire it in such beautiful all-original condition.

Its case presents as mint with no gold wear through. Its untouched original dial is mint with wonderfully toned luminous that perfectly matches both the hands and the gold of the case.

Our Master Watchmaker has replacing all of the waterproofing seals with new Rolex gaskets and performed any needed servicing.

For the finishing touch we have meticulously detailed it making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year international C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.

A published example of this model can be found in Osvaldo Patrizzi's work Rolex, Collecting Wristwatches, 2001 Edition, Guido Mondani editor, Vol. 1, pg. 262.
