Today's offering showcases this gorgeously restored example of one of Omega's classic vintage De Ville watches.
Living up to its name as one of the elegant and sophisticated "De Ville" models, it has a classic case and royal blue dial.
Our photos couldn't come close to doing it justice!
Its monococque - or one-piece - Omega case, which when new achieved high water resistance ratings by not having a separate case back measures 34mm in diameter - the same size as a Rolex Date model.
Powering the watch is Omega's top-tier caliber 565 movement used in Seamasters from the era, the last superior 500's series movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs. With 24 jewels and a quick-setting date, it was the top-tier offering of the famous 500 series and is one of the finest mass-produced automatic movements from the era.
It is 100% Omega down to the dial, hands, and winding crown.
It has just finished a true expertly done restoration and presents in gorgeous condition.
Its case presents as mint. Despite what the photos seem to suggest, the printing on the back is fully intact. Its dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
As part of the restoration, the movement has just been overhauled by a Master Watchmaker.
Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.
For the finishing touch, a new leather strap with aftermarket Omega style logo has been installed making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
A five decade old Omega that presents like new on the wrist!
Omega watches can be found on the wrists of many prominent figures including Pierce Brosnan, Michael Schumacher, Michael Phelps, Ernie Els, Prince William, and one graced the wrist of President John F. Kennedy. Omega has been the official timekeeper for 21 Olympic Games and is the official chronometer of NASA.
