Omega created the 1020 and 1022 series movement with a double quick-set capability for convenient setting of the day and date. Though many connoisseurs associate the idea of the double quick-set watch with Rolex, which first offered the President model with this "new" feature in late 1990, Omega's 1020 series mechanisms were a pioneer of the technology in large scale production watches.

* Gloss black dial - The black dial works especially well with the case and bracelet because it sharpens the entire design. It gives the watch a purposeful, slightly sportier character without losing the polish expected of a Seamaster.

* Caliber 1022 movement - Fast beat (28,800 bph) balance system for greater accuracy and the higher jeweled version caliber - it has 23 jewels instead of 17

* Seamaster model for the U.S. market - Quite of few examples of this model, which was created by the Norman Morris Agency is New York, that were in solid gold were branded and sold through Tiffany & Co.

* "Far East" Omega bracelet - The distinctively styled original Omega bracelet was only made for "Far East" market watches.
