Cartier Tank Ladies Mechancial Watch, Like Francaise - 18K Gold & Diamonds

cartier

Item No. 5531

Designed personally by Louis Cartier in 1917 and patterned after an army tank, Cartier's iconic Tank watch symbolized speed and achievement.

This gorgeous 18K gold and diamond ladies Tank features a stylish tank case, classic white Roman dial with blue steel hands, sapphire topped crown, and mechanical movement.

Before cost-cutting measures brought about the widespread use of cheaper quartz movements for many wristwatches, Cartier contracted with watch manufacturers to produce mechanical movements designed to last a lifetime. Using traditional watchmaking practices, these gifted craftsmen poured individual attention into each wristwatch. As a result, Cartier wristwatches with mechanical movements are often more sought after by collectors than their quartz counterparts.

Save the diamonds, the watch is 100% Cartier including its original buckle a purple Cartier alligator band. It presents in beautiful condition. The diamonds bright white and eye clean diamonds have previously been added by a jeweler (non-Cartier). They are full of sparkle and fire.

Our watchmaker has just freshly cleaned and oiled the movement. For the finishing touch we have installed a brand new genuine crocodile strap with the watch's Cartier buckle. Also included is a very slightly worn purple genuine Cartier band ($300 value).

Retail value for a new gold Tank: Approx. $9,650.00 USD (without diamonds - with Cartier set diamonds approx. $25,200.00)
