It is original with a Cartier traditional classic white Roman dial and cabochon sapphire crown. As a mens midsize it is well suited for a man with smaller wrists or for a woman.

Powering the watch is its original Cartier handwound mechanism that is better finished and a little higher grade than the ones often found in Cartier's dress watches like the Tank.

Before cost-cutting measures brought about the widespread use of cheaper quartz movements for certain wristwatches, Cartier utilized Swiss-crafted mechanical movements. Because of this extra care and craftsmanship, Cartier wristwatches with mechanical movements are often considered more desirable than their quartz counterparts.
