Cuervo y Sobrinos Esplendidos Mens Large "Eiffel Tower" Bracelet Watch, Stainless Steel - A2412/2

Cuervo Y Sobrinos

Item No. 5948

Today's offering showcases this resplendent mens Cuervo Y Sobrinos Esplendidos bracelet watch. The impressive and robust case commemorates one of the company's original 1940's designs and is made to resemble the base of the Eiffel Tower on all four sides. Its graceful lines and angles engage the light; and at 32~36mm by 47.5mm, keeping in step with the current style, it fills out even a larger size wrist.

The bracelet is solid and comfortable, and the dial is classicly elegant and makes for a monochrome design.

Powering the watch is an finely finished CYS movement based off the ETA 2824. It is self-winding and is imbued with the stereotypical precision and reliability familiar to watch fans around the globe.

We are proud to offer this mint condition example - it presents as about a 9.8 out of 10.

It bears the inscription "Tigers - 2005 V - 7 M. Imaoka." It commemorated for Makoto Imaoka the Hanshin Tigers 2005 penant-winning season. Imaoka won the batting title in 2003 with .340 average and was the league leader in RBIs with 147 the season this watch commemorates.

It has been inspected by a Master Watchmaker and continues to function very well and run very true. Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

Cuervo Y Sobrinos:
Founded in 1882 by Don Ramon Cuervo, Cuervo Y Sobrinos, which translates to "Cuervo and nephews" became the most successful jewelers and watchmakers of the Latin world. Named “La Casa” and located on Havanna’s prestigious Fifth Avenue, the company's original boutique has been a source of inspiration for the styling of the company’s models. At the time of its founding Havana had a height of success where affluent travellers from around the globe visited to slip into the slow-paced way of life and celebrate the finer things in life and attracted the likes of Churchill, Einstein, Gable and Hemingway.

Prestigious manufacturers like Rolex and Patek Philippe shared their names with Cuervo y Sobrinos by inscribing their names on the watches sold at the Havana boutique. In 1997 the brand was resurrected with re-issues of the original watches manufactured in Switzerland and then sold all over the world.
