Item No. 4568
IWC made this special titanium watch on a commission from Porsche Design, the company founded by Ferdinand Porsche, grandson of the car company founder and the designer of the Porsche 911.
It is fashioned with a typical Porsche feel, although it is much more classic than some of their models. Porsche Design produced watches in fairly limited quantities and their best were made by IWC.
Porsche Design by IWC watches were the world's first titanium cased watches. After a failed 18-month attempt to create usable cases from their first contractor, Porsche Design turned to IWC. IWC mastered the problems that come from working with this very difficult material.
The titanium case is thin and water-resistant style and both the case and bracelet present very nicely on the wrist. The black dial is original.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity
