A Timeless Tribute to Aviation Excellence

Enjoy the thrill of owning a piece that hearkens back to horological history. The Omega 1938 Museum Collection Pilot’s Watch, a meticulously crafted timepiece that pays homage to Omega’s legendary contribution to aviation, is the perfect fusion of vintage charm and cutting-edge craftsmanship. It's more than just a tool—it’s a symbol of precision, legacy, and the spirit of aviation.

The Story Behind the Watch

In the 1930's, Omega released a very unusual piece, the CK 2042 pilot's watch. They are coveted by vintage collectors but have easily reached 5-figures regularly at auctions in recent years. Though they have amazing presence and stunning art-deco styling, but their rarity puts them out of reach for most collectors.

When Omega decided to create their Museum Collection, the first watch they released was this Museum Edition No. 1 1938 Aviator's watch.

The original Omega Pilot’s Watch was designed to meet the demanding requirements of the aviation industry, combining legibility, durability, and reliability in a way that was ahead of its time. The Museum Collection pays tribute to that rich history, offering a modern interpretation of the original design that captures the essence of early 20th-century aviation, while staying true to Omega's relentless pursuit of excellence.

A faithful and very lovingly reinterpreted modernization of the CK 2042, this watch maintained the original's size, dimensions, bezel and layout, with an accurately re-imaged dial and hands and modern Super-Luminova in the same style as the original radium.

This Connoisseur of Time certified pre-owned Omega 1938 Museum Collection Pilot’s Watch represents a connection to that legacy. The attention to detail, the exquisite craftsmanship, and the undeniable sense of history all combine to create an heirloom-quality timepiece that is as much a conversation starter as it is a precision instrument.

It is all-original and in mint condition - a 9.8 out of 10. The only wear to the watch is the tiniest bit on the edge of the case where the back is designed to be pried open for servicing. Otherwise it presents like new. It is number 391 in a limited edition of 4938.
