Today's offering showcases this rare Certified Pre-Owned Omega Seamaster 300 Professional Limited Edition Jacques Mayol automatic chronometer watch.
This numbered limited edition was sold only in Japan in 1999 to commemorate the life of the French diving legend for whom the edition is named. Jacques Mayol was the holder of many world records in free diving, and the inspiration for the film The Big Blue. During his deepest descents Mayol free dove a mind boggling 345 feet (105 meters).
This watch is numbered 1782 out of 3500.
Powering the watch is an Omega Caliber 1109 automatic movement officially certified as a chronometer.
Its case measures 36mm in diameter without the crown and guards, 40mm with them. It is well-suited for those with smaller to average size wrists.
Its large luminous hands and hour markers against its blue dial make it easily legible at all times, and its rotating bezel is designed for true diving uses. It was originally designed to be water resistant to 1,000 feet. A unique feature of the watch is it has no helium escape valve like all other 300m's.
Powering the watch is an Omega Caliber 1109 automatic movement officially certified as a chronometer.
In its pre-owned form, it's an excellent value, providing greater quality in design and execution and in attention to detail than is often found in watches in this under $2500 price range.
It is fully Omega and presents in gorgeous condition - a 9.5 out of a perfect 10.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
