We have diligently worked to determine if the diamonds on the bracelet were factory set by Rolex or aftermarket set by a jeweler, including having them examined by multiple watchmakers and jewelers including a former Rolex authorized watchmaker who was given training at the Rolex Service Center, and simply cannot make a determination with confidence. So we have priced it like they are aftermarket.

For many watch connoisseurs, the watch needs no introduction... Nicknamed "The President" after Rolex gave an example of the gent's model to Dwight Eisenhower, it remains the company's flagship model and is the most recognizable elite, luxury watch in the world.

Examples can be found adorning prominent wrists around Hollywood (Jennifer Garner wears an 18K yellow gold ladies President and Angelina Jolie, Gwenneth Paltrow, and Halle Berry all wear ladies Rolexes, to name just a few) and in boardrooms and offices around the world. The 69238 President, which this is one, is numbered by Rolex as such signifying its Rolex factory set diamonds in the lugs. The 69238 also was available with the options of a Rolex diamond bezel, diamond dial, and/or diamond bracelet. These often came with factory diamond dials, and we believe that that is the case with this one. As mentioned, we are uncertain if the diamonds on the original Rolex bracelet are Rolex factory set or aftermarket set.

It has a sapphire crystal, quick-setting date, and light champagne color dial.

This Rolex ref. 69238 Crown Collection Lady President bears a different reference than their usual non-diamond sister model, the 69178. The diamonds radiate fire and are pure white as one would expect from virtually flawless Rolex set diamonds. Our photos couldn't do it justice.

We were fortunate to acquire it. Its case presents as mint with only light signs of previous polishing. Its untouched original dial is also mint. And its original Rolex Presidential bracelet which shows only light stretch - its finish presents as mint, and no diamonds are missing.

It presents gorgeously on the wrist.

One of our Master Watchmakers, who used to be the watchmaker for an authorized Rolex dealer and was given special training by Rolex at their Beverly Hills Service Center to be an authorized Rolex watchmaker, has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing any overly worn components with genuine Rolex parts, installing a new mainspring, reassembling and lubricating the movement, extensive timing testing and regulation, and waterproofing and pressure testing to insure it remains waterproof to original factory levels despite the aftermarket bezel (a $1295 value).

It continues to run strong and true, keeping time nearly on par with a new President.

Accompanying the watch are a Rolex President Creation Geneve box and Rolex booklets and tag.
