Today's offering showcases this gorgeously restored example of one of Omega's classic vintage gent's Geneve watches.
It has a classic retro case, fine handwound Omega movement, and Omega dial custom refinished to red wine.
It presents in beautifully restored condition and is fully Omega down to the dial, hands, and winding crown.
The case presents as mint with light signs of polishing. The bracelet presents as mint with light stretch. And the handwound Omega movement with quick-setting date is very clean. The original dial has been perfectly custom refinished. The printing is so well-done it could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
Our watchmaker has just freshly serviced the movement. Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
A four decade old Omega that presents almost like new!
Omega Geneve line:
Worn on the wrists of celebrities Michael Schumacher, Pierce Brosnan, Michael Phelps, and Ernie Els Omega timepieces rank with Rolex and other of the world's fine Swiss firms.
Beginning in 1953 Omega placed the name Geneve on the dials of some of the members of the 30mm collection which at the time were produced in the company's workshops in Geneve (to put Geneve on a dial of a watch certain components and processes must take place in Geneve) and later expanded the line of watches featuring the name. According to Omega the name referred to to the Genevan Observatory where the early 30mm calibers set a number of records.
