Today's offering showcases this gorgeously restored example of one of Omega's classic vintage gent's Geneve watches.
It has a classic full retro case, fine handwound Omega movement adjusted to two positions, and strong black dial. It measures 35mm in diameter, in between the size of a Rolex Date and a Rolex Datejust.
It is 100% Omega down to the original hands, winding crown, and even signed original crystal! It has just finished a true expertly done restoration.
The case presents as mint - its edges are crisp and its satin finish is perfect. Its dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye. And its Omega movement with quick-setting date has just been serviced.
For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
A four and a half decade old Omega that presents like new!
Omega Geneve line:
Worn on the wrists of celebrities Michael Schumacher, Pierce Brosnan, Michael Phelps, and Ernie Els Omega timepieces rank with Rolex and other of the world's fine Swiss firms.
Beginning in 1953 Omega placed the name Geneve on the dials of some of the members of the 30mm collection which at the time were produced in the company's workshops in Geneve (to put Geneve on a dial of a watch certain components and processes must take place in Geneve) and later expanded the line of watches featuring the name. According to Omega the name referred to to the Genevan Observatory where the early 30mm calibers set a number of records.
