Today's offering features a complicated automatic Speedmaster, ref. 3523.30.00. Besides the chronograph the watch also possesses a triple date calendar and twenty-four hour time indication.
The case and bracelet both carry a traditional speedy look, although the bezel is of the sleeker steel embossed variety. The silver dial is beautiful.
It is 100% Omega down to the waterproofing seal and presents as in pleasing condition. The left side of the case has two areas of marks. The rest of the watch presents as close to mint.
The movement is very cleaned and keeping very accurate time.
It comes as a complete set - accompanying the watch are its original cards, boxes, booklets, and card holder!
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
Speedmaster:
In 1957, Omega unveiled a chronograph that was a true technological marvel, the Speedmaster. Its incredible durability and accuracy would not only win it accolades around the world and the distinction of being the first watch to be worn on the moon, it would accomplish something far more important, guiding the crew of Apollo 13 safely back home after their malfunctioning electronic systems had shut down.
