Today's offering showcases this uncommon example of one of the company's distinctive and fine 1940's ladies dress watches.
Complete with its steel and gold gold case that features elegant dropping lugs and a light silver dial (face), it has a timeless elegance and class.
Powering this gem is a fine, early Rolex timekeeping mechanism. Featuring Rolex's patented Super Balance system as well as possessing a tonneau shape for longer running reserve and more accurate timekeeping, it employed Rolex's premier movement technology for the era.
While most ref. 4211 were made in one of the varieties of solid gold, this uncommon example fully built at the Rolex factory in Switzerland but made specifically for the U.S. market is crafted from steel and gold.
We were fortunate to acquire it in pleasing all-original condition down to the dial, hands, and correctly unsigned original winding crown. The dial is untouched the case is near mint. Our watchmaker has freshly cleaned and oiled the movement.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
