Today's offering showcases this uncommon example of one of the company's distinctive and fine 1940's ladies dress watches.
Complete with its steel and gold gold case that features elegant dropping lugs and a light silver dial (face), it has a timeless elegance and class.
The desirable original double-signed dial has just slightly warmed giving it a true vintage look.
Powering this gem is a fine, early Rolex timekeeping mechanism. Featuring Rolex's patented Super Balance system as well as possessing a tonneau shape for longer running reserve and more accurate timekeeping, it employed Rolex's premier movement technology for the era.
While most ref. 4211 were made in one of the varieties of solid gold, this uncommon example fully built at the Rolex factory in Switzerland and made specifically for W. Rosch is crafted from steel and gold. W. Rosch was a retailer in Bern, Switzerland.
We were fortunate to acquire it in pleasing all-original condition down to the dial, hands, and correctly unsigned original winding crown. The dial is untouched and the case is near mint still retaining its original Rolex factory stamped coronet. On the wrist it presents beautifully! On the wrist its case presents as just short of perfect mint with strong, crisp lines.
One of our watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it.
For the finishing touch we have installed a new black cord strap designed to replicate a vintage style that adjusts to fit virtually any size wrist making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
