Today's offering showcases this handsome and classic Rolex Oysterdate Precision in very pleasing original condition.
The Oysterdate Precision have become desirable non-sport vintage Rolex watches because their understated and classic design contrast the "busier" look of some of the modern Rolex watches. It's a watch that is at home being worn everyday or only for special occasions. Produced from the early 1950's into the 1980's, it was a strong commercial success for Rolex, winning a large following.
It is fully original down to its Rolex Oyster "rivet" bracelet date stamped. 1969, which presents on the wrist in beautiful condition. It has its original classic and elegant silver dial, which is untouched and in excellent condition.
On the wrist the case presents as scratch-free.
Our watchmaker has just disassembled the watch down to the last screw and cleaned and oiled it and replaced all of the waterproofing seals with new genuine Rolex gaskets. It is keeping very accurate time.
For the finishing touch we have meticulously detailed it making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
Note: Published examples of this model can be found in Osvaldo Patrizzi's work Rolex, Collecting Wristwatches, 2001 Edition, Vol. 2, p. 378-381.
