Today's offering showcase this gorgeously restored example of one of Omega's classic vintage watches.
As one of the elegant and sophisticated "De Ville" models, it has a classic case, striking royal blue dial that has a slight electric quality to it, and automatic caliber 1002 movement used in Seamasters from the era. Our photos couldn't do it justice! The dial is a rich blue color.
Its case has a unique design only used in a handful or so models from the era.
Despite the inherent difficulties associated with making rectangular cases, like this unusual cushion-shaped case impermeable, using an extremely high level of craftsmanship and an ingenious case design that features a case back that twists slightly to lock into place and unique pressure sealing crystal with flange that presses against the dial, Omega succeeded in building a fully waterproof, cushion shaped case, an unusual feat for the era.
It has all of its original parts - even its unique signed Omega crystal! It has just finished a true expertly done restoration and presents in gorgeous condition.
Its case presents as mint with the slightest remnants of wear on the underside. On the wrist it presents as mint with only the slightest signs of previous polishing. Its dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done.
As part of the restoration a Master Watchmaker has freshly overhauled the movement. It is running strong and true, keeping time virtually on par with a new Omega in our testing recording position.
For the finishing touch, we have equipped it with a new leather strap with an aftermarket Omega style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
Your watch is important to us, and we will take care of it for its lifetime. We provide the best after sale care in the business with an extremely experienced team of four Master Watchmakers all of whom each have over thirty-five years of experience and a large number of parts. One used to be the watchmaker for an authorized Rolex dealership and was given special training by Rolex at their Beverly Hills Service Center.
A half-century old Omega that presents like new!
