c. 1968 Patek Philippe Vintage Mens Handwound Watch, Ref. 2591 Disco Volante Style - 18K Gold

Patek Philippe

Item No. 8516

We are proud to offer this very fine and uncommon ref. 2591 Patek Philippe mens watch with hidden lugs. Similar in style to the Disco Volante - Italian for "saucer" - shaped Ref. 2251 and 2552 Pateks, it showcases a certain vintage flair. It is elegant and classic, and a bit avant-garde.

Its Vendome style lugs are hidden behind the watch so as to not disrupt the purity of its circular lines.

Powering the watch is its illustrious Patek Philippe 10 ligne movement, unquestionably among the finest hand-winding movements ever built. It is stamped in two places with the prestigious Poinçon de Genève.

It was a recent trade-in to a local authorized Patek Philippe retailer.

Its thin Patek Philippe case is excellent condition with a couple of light pin prick indentions in the back. Its silver dial is in excellent condition with one small beauty mark near six. And its original Patek movement is very clean.

Our Master Watchmaker has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, installing a brand new mainspring, and replacing any overly worn components with Patek replacements, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $695 value).

It is running strong and true, keeping very accurate time nearly on par with a new Patek.

For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a new crocodile strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to the watch's performance.

Please inquire if you would like us to obtain an extract from the Patek Philippe archives for you. Patek charges 500 CHF.
